Precautions For Installation Of Accumulator

1.The accumulator should be installed far away from the heat source, and should be firmly fixed on the bracket or foundation, but should not be fixed by welding.

2. A check valve shall be set between the accumulator and the hydraulic pump to prevent the pressure oil of the accumulator from flowing back to the hydraulic pump. A stop valve shall be set between the accumulator and the pipeline for inflation, inspection, adjustment or long-term shutdown.

3. After the accumulator is inflated, each part must not be disassembled or loosened to avoid danger. If it is necessary to remove the accumulator cover or move it, the gas should be discharged first.

4. After the accumulator is installed, it is filled with inert gas (such as nitrogen). Oxygen, compressed air or other flammable gases are strictly prohibited. Generally, the inflation pressure is 80% – 85% of the minimum pressure of the system. All accessories should be installed in strict accordance with the design requirements, and pay attention to its neat and beautiful. At the same time, the convenience of use and maintenance should be considered as far as possible.

The accumulator shall be installed at the place convenient for inspection and maintenance. When it is used to absorb impact and pulsation, the accumulator should be close to the vibration source, and should be installed at the place where impact is easy to occur. The installation position should be far away from the heat source, so as to prevent the system pressure from rising due to the thermal expansion of the gas.

The accumulator should be fixed firmly, but it is not allowed to be welded on the main engine. It should be firmly supported on the bracket or wall. When the ratio of diameter to length is too large, hoops should be set for reinforcement.

In principle, the bladder accumulator should be installed vertically with the oil port downward. When it is installed horizontally or obliquely, the bladder will contact the shell unilaterally due to buoyancy, which will hinder the normal telescopic operation, accelerate the damage of the bladder, and reduce the risk of accumulator function. Therefore, the inclined or horizontal installation method is generally not adopted. There is no special installation requirement for diaphragm accumulator, which can be installed vertically, obliquely or horizontally with oil port downward.
